Curriculum
Beach Street School offers a well-rounded developmental curriculum that fosters independence, self-motivation, and a passion for learning and discovery. Our curriculum sets goals within a child’s reach that help develop a feeling of competency in all developmental areas. Social/emotional and academic growth are valued equally. Center time, creative art, story time, music and movement, cooking, science/nature, and outdoor play are a part of our daily programs. Academic concepts are introduced in a fun way. Our curriculum meets the Department of Early Education and Care's Preschool Curriculum Framework Guidelines.
Beach Street School Programs
NURSERY PROGRAMS
Emphasis on socialization, making new friends, self-help skills, gross and fine motor activities. Introduction to shapes and colors. Some number and letter recognition.
2 days/week - Tuesday and Thursday 9:00AM - 11:45AM; for Ages 2.9 & 3 by 9/1
3 days/week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00AM - 11:45AM; Age 3 by 9/1
3 days/week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 12:30PM - 3PM; Age 3 by 9/1
PRE-K PROGRAMS

Core Pre K programs can be paired with our
Enrichment, Passport, or Buddies programs
to supplement daily/weekly schedules.
Prepares children for kindergarten socially/emotionally as well as academically by focusing on literacy, pre-writing skills, math, science, and the introduction of phonics and sight words. Our Pre K is a wonderful transition from Center Day Care to school routines. (Age 4 by 9/1)
PRE-K ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
The reinforcement of readiness skills through additional literacy, math and science.
Monday/Tuesday: Literacy; Wednesday/Thursday: STEAM; Friday: Art and Nature
Monday through Friday, 9:00AM-12:30PM; Choose one day or up to five days per week.
Pairs with our Pre K programs for full-day/full-week scheduling (Age 4 by 9/1)

PASSPORT TO LEARNING PROGRAM
This Enrichment Program is offered every Wednesday and/or Friday afternoon. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate for children ages 3 and 4. It fosters readiness skills in a multisensory and multidisciplinary environment. This program allows children to try new ideas and materials, imagine, socialize, express themselves, create, discover, sing, dance, help, and listen---all important foundations for a life-long journey of learning. Our “Passport to Learning” is sure to open doors to new adventures and experiences!

BUDDIES PROGRAM
A program for parents who need the flexibility, or just a few hours, or to add to the school day. Sign up in advance, as availability is limited. This program offers fun-filled learning experiences with a loving and nurturing early childhood education staff.

Interested parents should:
- Make an appointment to visit the school.
- Complete and sign the registration form.
- Submit the registration form and appropriate fee.
- Upon receipt of the registration form and fee, parents will receive a letter of confirmation.
